Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Manali & Drive to Jobra | Trek to Chika

Arrive in Manali and drive to Jobra (approx. 2 hours).
Trek through pine forests, cross scenic meadows, and camp at Chika (3,100m) beside a flowing stream.
Trek Distance: 2 km | Trek Duration: 1-2 hours

Day 2: Chika to Balu Ka Ghera – The Base of Hampta Pass

A gradual ascent through lush valleys, boulder sections, and wildflower-covered meadows.
Reach Balu Ka Ghera (3,600m), a serene camping spot at the base of Hampta Pass.
Trek Distance: 8 km | Trek Duration: 5-6 hours

Day 3: Balu Ka Ghera to Hampta Pass & Descend to Shea Goru

The toughest yet most rewarding day of the trek.
Cross the Hampta Pass (4,270m), witnessing the dramatic change in landscapes from greenery to Spiti’s rugged terrain.
Descend to Shea Goru (3,900m), a cold desert-like valley.
Trek Distance: 10 km | Trek Duration: 7-8 hours

Day 4: Shea Goru to Chatru | Drive to Chandratal Lake

A downhill trek along the Chandra River, leading to Chatru (3,600m).
Drive to Chandratal Lake (4,250m), the famous moon-shaped lake of Spiti, known for its surreal beauty.
Camp near the lake under a star-studded sky.

Day 5: Chandratal Lake to Manali via Rohtang Pass

Drive back to Manali via the Rohtang Pass (3,978m), relishing the panoramic views.
Drive Distance: 125 km | Drive Duration: 6-7 hours
