Choi Yee is the co-founder of Expedition Hunt, a company she established in 2017. Growing up in the suburbs of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, she developed a passion for travel and adventure, exploring vast regions of India, Nepal, and Central Asia. This extensive travel experience has shaped her expertise in designing unique and specialized itineraries, particularly those focused on mountain activities in remote areas.
Since the inception of Expedition Hunt, Choi Yee has been deeply involved in the company’s operations. She has played a central role in curating and coordinating mountain expeditions, relying on her years of experience in the field to ensure each trip is both exciting, safe and memorable.
In addition to her operational role, Choi Yee manages the marketing and promotional efforts. She actively seeks new, remote destinations to meet the evolving demands of the adventure tourism market.
Choi Yee also manages the logistics of mountain expeditions, where safety, proper acclimatization, and collaboration with local communities are vital. We ensure that these expeditions are not only thrilling but also sustainable and culturally sensitive.
Fluent in both Chinese, English and Malay, Choi Yee brings a multicultural approach to her work, allowing her to effectively navigate diverse markets and cultures in her pursuit of creating extraordinary, off-the-beaten-path travel experiences.
Adil Mir
Adil Mir is the Expedition Coordinator and Logistics Manager at Expedition Hunt, a role in which he draws on nearly his entire adult life spent in the tourism industry. His extensive experience spans a range of responsibilities, including organizing tailor-made tours across North India and Nepal. Adil’s deep understanding of the travel business has been shaped by his diverse experiences in these regions.
A native of the picturesque Kashmir Valley, Adil has travelled extensively across Central Asia, gaining firsthand knowledge of the challenges and joys of traveling in remote regions. Expedition Hunt, a company dedicated to offering unique, adventure-driven travel experiences. Together, we share a vision, and the tag lined, “Beyond the Horizon”.
As the daily administrative leader, Adil plays a crucial role in coordinating the logistics of the company’s expeditions. His responsibilities include overseeing safety standards, managing operations, and ensuring that each journey runs smoothly. Adil has focused much of his work on developing nature and culture-based destinations in Kashmir, Ladakh, and Himachal Pradesh, making these regions more accessible and attractive for tourism.
In recent years, Adil has been an advocate for sustainable tourism practices, especially in his native Kashmir Valley. He is committed to promoting climate-friendly travel and has implemented various eco-conscious strategies to ensure that tourism benefits local communities while minimizing its environmental impact.
