Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Islamabad (540m)

Activities:
- Arrive at Islamabad International Airport.
- Transfer to your hotel and attend a trek briefing.
- Prepare necessary permits and documentation.
Highlights: Explore the cultural landmarks of Islamabad (optional).
Overnight Stay: Hotel in Islamabad.

Day 2: Flight to Skardu (2,228m)

Travel Time: 1-hour flight or 2 days by road (if the flight is canceled).
Activities:
- Take a scenic flight to Skardu, the gateway to the Karakoram.
- Explore local markets or visit landmarks like Kharpocho Fort.
Highlights: Aerial views of Nanga Parbat and the Karakoram Range.
Overnight Stay: Hotel in Skardu.

Day 3: Rest and Preparation in Skardu

Activities:
- Finalize gear and supplies for the trek.
- Optional sightseeing around Skardu, including Satpara Lake and Shigar Valley.
Highlights: Acclimatization and soaking in local culture.
Overnight Stay: Hotel in Skardu.

Day 4: Drive to Askole (3,000m)

Travel Time: 6-8 hours by jeep.
Activities:
- Drive through rugged terrains to reach Askole, the last village before the trek.
- Meet your trekking crew and organize supplies.

Day 5: Trek to Jhula (3,200m)

- Begin your trek along the Braldu River.

Highlights: Stunning views of Bakhor Das Peak and river gorges.
Overnight Stay: Camp in Jhula.

Day 6: Trek to Paiju (3,450m)

Trek Duration: 6-7 hours.
Activities:
- Continue trekking along the Braldu River.
- Arrive at Paiju, a popular campsite with spectacular views.
Highlights: First glimpses of the Baltoro Glacier.
Overnight Stay: Camp in Paiju.

Day 7: Rest and Acclimatization at Paiju

Activities:
- Rest day to acclimatize and prepare for glacier trekking.
- Explore the surroundings or relax at the campsite.
Highlights: Local interactions and scenic views.
Overnight Stay: Camp in Paiju.

Day 8: Trek to Khobutse (3,910m)

Trek Duration: 6-7 hours.
Activities:
- Trek along the Baltoro Glacier, surrounded by towering peaks.
- Navigate challenging glacier terrain.
Highlights: Panoramic views of Trango Towers and Uli Biaho.
Overnight Stay: Camp in Khobutse.

Day 9: Trek to Urdukas (4,050m)

Trek Duration: 4-5 hours.
Activities:
- Short but steep trek to Urdukas.
- Enjoy the majestic views of the Karakoram Range.
Highlights: Views of Masherbrum Peak and lush meadows.
Overnight Stay: Camp in Urdukas.

Day 10: Trek to Goro II (4,300m)

Day 11: Trek to Concordia (4,600m)

Trek Duration: 5-6 hours.

- Reach Concordia, the “Throne Room of the Gods.”
- Marvel at the 360-degree views of K2, Broad Peak, and other majestic peaks.
Highlights: Iconic views of K2 and the Karakoram giants.

Day 12: Trek to K2 Base Camp (5,150m) and Return to Concordia

Trek Duration: 8-10 hours (round trip).

- Return to Concordia for the night.

Day 13-17: Return Trek to Skardu via the Same Route

- Drive back to Skardu upon reaching Askole.

Day 18: Flight or Drive Back to Islamabad
